Beta Librae introduces our Supernova Series of acrylic drums. This 14" x 6.5" acrylic snare drum dazzles in a vibrant Coke bottle green color and boasts premium features including a hybrid 45° bearing edge, chrome hardware, S-hoops, and a Trick GS007 single-step throw-off. For superior snare response, it’s equipped with Puresound Custom Pro 24-strand snare wires and an Evans Snare Side 300 head. The drum's batter side is topped with an Evans EC Reverse Dot head for a perfect balance of tone and durability.
The Supernova acrylic shells deliver a powerful, punchy sound with exceptional articulation and a sharp initial attack. Compared to wood shells, acrylic produces a slightly darker, more focused tone with a quicker decay. The result is a distinctive “crack” on impact, accompanied by a noticeable mid-range punch, while the high and low frequencies are more subdued thanks to the unique sonic properties of acrylic.
